Post your event - How it works
Here are some simple guidelines designed to keep our site alive and useful for jazz fans. Please, keep it about jazz. We're counting on you to be absolutely sure that the event you are posting is jazz-related and not top-40, R&B, funk or another popular style. If it's blues, latin or avant-garde, use common sense. If a group plays a mix of pop and a couple of jazz tunes, it's not really a jazz event. What's your styles. Please don't be offended. We're not trying to pigeonhole your group. Rather, we are trying to make it easy for visitors to decide to come and see you. Before choosing 'Mixed' consider that 'Mixed' doesn't tell the listener very much. If you have a 16-piece big band then "Big Band" is the right choice even if you play some latin tunes and bossas. Style means your primary style. Be accurate. Please make your posting as accurate and interesting as possible. There is nothing that will turn off potential fans like an unexpected cover charge or arriving at a club late or on the wrong night. If a performance is cancelled or changes, please contact me. I'll be happy to change or correct entries for you. Still not sure? and we can figure it out together.
